Reflections
I have always had a soft sport for animations and one of my favorites is Lion King. From the music, to the humor of Timon and Pumba but more so the lessons that are passed on in a subtle manner, to anyone who is willing and keen to learn.
A common oldie views life as a mountain, “Kuna kupanda na kushuka ee, maisha ni mlima.” The valley moments can be overwhelming, but they don’t last always. The mountain high moments are known to elicit joy and hence we want to experience them for as long as we can. The big question then comes to mind, am I still Njeri when on the mountain top or in the valley? Do I still hold true to my values?
Just like Rafiki was quick to give Simba a painful lesson, and Mufasa’s resounding voice, as you walk through this journey called life, Remember who you are! Don’t let life’s challenges take the joy and the bounce from your life. Be bubbly and learn to dance even in the rain.
Remember who you are and be kind always 🙂
