IS SHARING ALWAYS GOOD?
As far back as I can remember, a lesson that was constantly being repeated is sharing. This was applicable across all things you could think of; food, toys, books, clothes, bicycles...name it. It was etched in us from a very tender age, that sharing is caring.
A couple of decades later (still youthful ;-)) and sharing is still being encouraged. Give and it will come back to you...as the Good Book says. This is one lesson that hardly comes with exceptions, that I believe need to be addressed.
I am talking about prescription sharing. Yes, i said it. It is very common to hear someone in a crowd asking for painkillers. We have taken it to the next level, where even prescription-only drugs are being shared. In this case, can we still say that blessed is the hand that giveth than the hand that taketh?
What may appear to be a simple gesture of caring, may soon turn into a trap not so easy to escape from...addiction.
So how do we protect those we love and care about from ending up in sorry situations?
Let's talk about it!
